MY CANDID THOUGHTS !!! (Part 3)
I think whoever designed this system is not fair. My thought is that everything seem to be working in circle. We all seem to be trailing the same path without knowing it.
I used to think that there will be an end to this strife. Like an end to all the struggle here. This does not exempt anyone; both rich and poor, young and old, privileged and less privileged. All of us do work in a circle in reality.
Life is full of deception, we all think that the achievement of a goal, will lead to satisfaction, but really does it? Or it leads to developing another interest? I bet you know the answer.
I feel the chase after money should have brought satisfaction to many who perhaps at the moment have more than enough! But alas, what we have is that these sets of people want it even more as soon as they acquire some of it.
Now, who is deceiving who? Is life deceiving us or we are fooling ourselves? My thought is that, we have been deceived by the system. The system's came with a lot of assumptions and we just accept it hook, line, and bait (or sinker, as you may wish to call it). We never bother to think out of the box in most of the time.
I think its all a set up, to be born, grow up and told how things work, whereas in reality it doesn't take that precept. I wonder who created this system that says MONEY is a necessity! Everyone wants money yet few find it. Some say its difficult to find, yet there are those who don't sweat before they get a large chunk of it.
I don't agree with either of the school of thoughts, i am only indifferent as money is easy to get, as well as, difficult to find.
However, to my greatest surprise, everything seem to revolve around money, with a substantial amount, you can get a measure of happiness and the lack of it, is indeed the true roots of all evil.
I have heard people say that, the true path to happiness lies in acquiring loads of wealths. Then I ask, how many of the wealthy are truly happy? I think money can give happiness but it can't truly make one happy!
Let's see this in a practical sense. Take for instance, someone deposits in your bank account every week, N3 million and the only condition to get next weeks deposit is if and only if you exhaust the week's deposit. Meaning, you have to finish spending N3 million each week. Please note: ONLY ON YOURSELF!
Here you can't help the needy, you can't give part of it to your loved ones, you can't practically spend it with someone, it is just on yourself. Whatever your needs are or want, you use the money to cater for them. But really, can you finish N3 million every week? My thoughts are that you might succeed first and second week, but as time goes by you'll fail.
You will agree with me that in reality what we spend on ourselves is nothing compared to what we give to others, either consciously or not.
The circle of life is that we are designed to chase something and as soon as we get it, we drop it again, for another, all in the name of satisfying our needs and wants. For instance, we make money and we spend the same money we made on food, shelter, clothing, luxuries and other things that can provide succour of life.
I see people on the streets daily with different ideology of life, yet there is something common to them all-the ultimate chase after money. That's the common goal any average person has.
Most times, we think in our heart, "I am not doing it for the money" but in reality, when we are not remunerated or well rewarded, we feel bad.
Some people say, I didn't go to school because of money, but of a truth, can you do anything absolutely FREE? The word free is a myth. It doesn't exist. Most people want free things but really is anything free in reality?
I don't think so, free things mostly have hidden charge(s). Some free lunch may lead to the payment of some price unknown to you. Some free gifts and bonuses are paid for even without your own knowledge. We only deceive ourselves to think anything can be free, in the real sense.
The maker of this world (God) predicated it on a principle of give and take or at best sow and reap. So, it will be out of place to think anything can really be free.
We all walk in circle, our happiness does not contain in the abundance of what we have, but on the determination of our hearts. That's why its easy for someone to make you sad. But you alone holds the key to your own happiness. You can be happy only if you decide to be. You can't be happier than you decide to be.
We have been told to go to school, learn, pass exams, get good job and get good life, but come to think of it, what makes a good life? Does a good life start when we start to earn six digits? Well, you can answer that in your mind.
My thought is that what makes a man happy lies on his inside. What makes a man happy is his determination to be happy. Money might be able to buy you a good bed, but money can't buy you sleep. At least not a sound one.
I think, all we do is just make money, spend it, and make it again. So, is it worth it after all? I think its just a chase after the wind.
I think my thoughts are distorted, I don't know, but situations some how determines how we think some times.
To a wealthy man, money is not the problem, but why can't he stop chasing it if its not the problem. They (the wealthy) will tell you, more money is needed to deal headlong with problems, so what is the problem in reality?
I guess our leaders too are deceived by this system, perhaps thats why all they think is; "I first, and God for us all. My pockets must and should be filled first before any consideration for the masses," they thought in their mind. No wonder, corrupt practices thrive in our society.
I am of the opinion that, the system should be overhauled or better said, reset. Probably, things will take a different turn. Let's try to chase something else and not this NOTES called money. Let's have a system predicted on sympathy and genuine empathy for humanity and not the disregard for lives and properties we have today because some individuals are benefiting from the anomaly.
The only thing, that I think might be the answer is a consideration of what might happen, if our path never took the way it took. What if the status is swapped? How can we handle it. What if those on top are the ones at the bottom would it have made any difference?
Hmmmmmmn!!! After all I have said and thought about, I still have not found the answer to this circular system, that forces all of us to thread the same path but deceives us it's different.
I think each one should love each one as each one loves one's self. And understand that no one will depart this world with anything but just as unclad as we came. This should give us the idea of life. I think I have said too much. I should just go back to my shell and enjoy the rest of my thoughts right inside of me.
Thanks for reading my thoughts once again.
