LUNATICS

Lunatic! The sound of that word can make one belch. When one walk the slums one will see tons of lunatics everywhere. 

I was in a neighborhood one day waiting to get something done, then I saw this young man dressed in Lagos bin. He looked like he hasn't bathed all his life. To my surprise, he bought pepper from a shop and begged the seller to grind it for him to make stew.. I exclaimed!! a mad man buying pepper? But then after observing and making enquries from those in the neighborhood, I realised he was not entirely mad; Atleast, not yet. 

After some days, the same mad man I saw buying pepper was seen in traffic begging for money. So I thought deeply "Nobody was born a lunatic, so how do people get mad?' 

Now the idea of running mad is not just about some bad juju, because mad people are everywhere even places where juju is not recognised.There are different kinds of madness, it's diversified; there are typical mad people, these ones are entirely off, they don't know anything that they do; some are mad professionally, you even see them in suits; there's toosh madness; those ones still look clean with a little bit of their senses. 

If you are very observant, you can predict the cause of some madness. For instance when you see a mad person with a pen or books you would know he probably ran mad mathematically. Some mad people are always chewing even when there is nothing to chew, you would know those ones are gluttonous. Some are always seen catwalking and talking to nobody, be sure they were loquacious before running mad. some mad men are lions of the tribe of the street, they can cause a fight even in an empty street.

Madness is nobody's birthright, these people were not born with it, they were normal, beautiful people. Poverty made some to run mad, loneliness caused some madness, some are mad as a result of too much burdens.

So we must learn to chill out and relax, whatever it is you are going through; if God brought you to it, He will bring you through it. It is important to understand that If you don't run sad, you won't run mad!
